How did they collaborate?

Coffeco and Nestlé Hellas joined forces through a pilot project that aimed to replicate Coffeco’s production process — on a smaller, controlled scale. The goal of the pilot was to identify the most efficient methods for collecting coffee residue from partner coffee chains, a critical step toward scaling up.

The pilot then progressed to the development of Coffeco’s two core products: high-value antioxidants and an innovative, eco-friendly composite material designed as a sustainable alternative to wood or plastic.

Nestlé Hellas played a key role throughout this journey — not only by offering financial support, but more importantly by providing access to experienced consultants and a strong network of partners. Their ongoing guidance helped Coffeco validate its process, improve its model, and take solid steps toward market readiness.
