Research to impact:
Meet the AUEB Technology Transfer Office
Opening doors to innovation, collaboration and research commercialization
The Technology Transfer Office (TTO) of the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB) invites members of the university’s academic and research community to an Open Day dedicated to innovation, technology transfer and the journey from research to real-world impact.
When: Wednesday, November 19, 2025, 12:00–14:00
Where: ACE, Troias 2, Ground Floor, Athens
The AUEB Technology Transfer Office opens its doors to welcome faculty members, researchers and postgraduate and doctoral students, offering them the opportunity to get to know the team, explore its services, and learn how their research can be transformed into innovative products, services or ventures with tangible social and economic value.
Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of how the TTO supports the university community in every stage of the research exploitation process — from protecting intellectual property to bringing ideas closer to the market.
During the event, attendees will be introduced to:
● The mission and services of the AUEB TTO, and how it supports researchers in advancing and commercializing their work.
● Mechanisms for intellectual property (IP) protection and patenting.
● Proof of Concept (PoC) programs and other funding pathways for validating research results and exploring commercial potential.
● Experiences from AUEB researchers who have collaborated with the TTO and successfully navigated the path from research to innovation.
The Open Day also serves as a networking and learning opportunity where participants can discuss their ideas, discover available resources and better understand how the TTO can help them maximize the impact of their research.
