The idea for Dataphoria was born when two civil engineers, Anastasis Stamatis and Fenya Kotsopoulou, found themselves at the intersection of technology and climate action. With deep experience in environmental volunteering and work in Greece, the UK, and the US, they were struck by a shared challenge: despite growing regulatory and societal pressure, companies still struggled to turn ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) principles into measurable, actionable performance.
Motivated by their involvement with international networks like the European Climate Ambassadors and the Global Shapers of the World Economic Forum, they envisioned a digital tool that would make sustainability measurable, accessible, and strategic. This vision led to the creation of Dataphoria in 2021.
Anastasis and Fenya met ACE through their participation in the Euforia Project, a European initiative aiming at accelerating urban resilience innovation activities in 4 cities, e.i. Aveiro, Athens, Varna, and Osijek. Leveraging the wide range of activities offered by ACE, they then joined the Compass Cycle of the Center in 2022 and also took part in the Ignite Ideas Open Innovation program, run by ACE and Nestlé Hellas to pilot test their platform.
From Inception to Impact
Dataphoria developed a flexible ESG Analytics Platform designed to focus on the most relevant sustainability and impact metrics for each company. The platform delivers tailored, data-driven insights that help businesses define sustainability roadmaps, improve performance, and communicate results with clarity.
Through automation and personalization, Dataphoria enables organizations to track and manage ESG data with minimal friction, making sustainability reporting smarter and more transparent.

In September 2023, Dataphoria became one of the first tech startups in Greece to receive impact investment, raising €225,000 in a pre-seed round led by Investing For Purpose. The funds are supporting team growth, technological development, and expansion into the UK and European ESG markets. - Strategic Partnerships:
Collaborated with leading companies to support ESG strategy and reporting. A standout example is the partnership with Bayer Hellas, aimed at improving sustainability goal monitoring, data traceability, and internal alignment on ESG performance. - Global Reach:
Dataphoria has processed over 170,000 sustainability data points for 18,000+ companies in the UK, while also collaborating with major corporations on innovative projects.
