In 2012, three passionate individuals—Yiannis Nikolopoulos, Daphne Tsevreni, and Andreas Fatouros—combined their expertise in technology, finance, and cultural heritage to address a significant gap in the travel industry: the lack of accessible, high-quality cultural content for modern travelers.
In 2014, the team participated in the Ennovation competition, organized by ACE, and their idea was among those that stood out. Later the same year, they joined ACE incubator and in 2015 won the 1st prize in Digital Gate, the Open Innovation Program run by ACE and the Athens International Airport.
While at the incubator, their vision led to the establishment of Clio Muse Tours, a platform dedicated to delivering engaging, self-guided audio tours that seamlessly blend storytelling with cutting-edge technology. Driven by a mission to make culture universally accessible, the founders developed an innovative storytelling methodology that transforms historical facts into captivating narratives. This approach not only enriches the travel experience but also promotes sustainable tourism by encouraging exploration beyond traditional guided tours.
